High View is a
stone-built Victorian house offering comfortable
accommodation for six people. It provides a perfect base
for a family holiday with three good-sized bedrooms and a
large dining kitchen. The house is decorated in a
contemporary style, with quality furniture and
colour-co-ordinated soft furnishings. The sitting room has
views to the village and the fells beyond and provides a
calm, restful environment. It has central heating and a
living flame gas fire in the fireplace to provide a cosy
atmosphere in the winter months. A flat screen television,
DVD player and CD/cassette/radio are provided. The kitchen
is fitted with Smeg appliances, and there is a full range
of cookware, crockery and cutlery. There is a washing
machine and tumble dryer on the lower ground floor and a
large indoor drying area.
The master bedroom, on the first floor, has beautiful views
over Ambleside towards Loughrigg. It has a queen size bed,
plenty of storage space and a TV. A bathroom with full-size
bath and shower attachment is on the first floor. There is
a double shower room with a power shower, WC and basin next
to the main bathroom. All bathrooms are tiled and have
contemporary fittings. On the top floor there are two
further bedrooms, a twin and a double. All the bedrooms,
have co-ordinated bedroom furniture and plenty of storage
space.
The garden is a particular highlight at High View.
Professionally landscaped with a large terrace area and
wooden furniture, it provides a wonderful environment for
al fresco dining with spectacular views to the surrounding
fells. High View is located on a quiet private road and a 3
minute stroll from the restaurants and shops. A parking
space is provided outside the property. A gate in the
garden gives access to a public footpath.
